Apple TV+ Announces Fall Family Programming

 

Apple TV+ is starting its school year with a new slate of family programming and the return of some favorites. With an eye toward engaging kids and furthering their understanding of the world. Apple TV+ has engineered the slate with help from a panel of experts in their Changemaker Initiative – meant to craft programming that will inspire children to become future leaders.

Here’s a look at what’s coming up this fall.

September 9 – Peanuts Anthology II

Toss a nickel to Lucy and grab a Great Pumpkin Spice Latte - Snoopy and pals are back with more classic cartoons. Apple TV+ is releasing the second anthology of Peanuts productions, featuring the adventures of Charlie Brown as he navigates the world. The anthology includes “He’s a Bully, Charlie Brown”, “He’s Your Dog, Charlie Brown”, “It Was a Short Summer, Charlie Brown”, “It’s Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown”, “There’s No Time for Love Charlie Brown”, “Why, Charlie Brown, Why?”, “You’re in Love, Charlie Brown”, and “You’re the Greatest, Charlie Brown”.

September 16 – Sago Mini Friends

Based on the popular Sago Mini World app, Sago Mini Friends is an animated series with preschoolers in mind. Kids will learn from Harvey the dog, Jinja the cat, and more about gratitude, optimism, and kindness. The series was put together by the minds behind PAW Patrol, Kingdom Force, and Wonder Pets!, and overseen by Dr. Sonja Lyubomirsky, Apple TV+’s gratitude expert. The show falls in line with the streaming service’s changemaker initiative, hoping to inspire and grow the next generation of changemakers.

September 30 – Wolfboy and the Everything Factory

Season two of Toff Mazery’s whimsical adventure, Wolfboy and the Everything Factory follows Wolfboy (Kassian Akhtar) to a world beneath the Everything Factory. As he and his group of oddball friends try to find the reason for the destruction of the universe, Wolfboy learns to embrace what makes him different.

September 30 – Get Rolling with Otis

Otis the tractor doesn’t let his size stop him from lending a wheel wherever he can. He always makes time for his friends, offering to help and talk whenever they need someone to listen to them. Based on the Loren Long book series, this animated show features lessons for little ones that are approved by renowned educational psychologist Dr. Michele Borba.

October 7 – Hello, Jack! The Kindness Show

Come back to Clover Grove for season two of Hello Jack! The Kindness Show. Co-created by Jack McBrayer, the show features Jack, a compassionate resident of Clover Grove, who spends his days making sure he inspires creativity, imagination, and thoughtfulness. Together, Jack and the rest of Clover Grove learn that great change can come from a caring community.

October 21 – Ghostwriter

Ghostwriter team tries to solve a bookshop mystery.

Season three of Ghostwriter kicks off with a new cast and a new mystery to investigate. When fictional characters start appearing in the real world, a group of kids realizes that a ghost must be haunting a bookstore. Can they figure out what the ghost wants? Based on the classic Sesame Workshop show, Ghostwriter is meant to get ages 6-11 interested in reading and writing with a multicultural cast of mystery solvers.

November 4 – Slumberkins

Bigfoot, Unicorn, Sloth, Yak, and Fox help kids learn about feelings in a show based on the popular Slumberkins books. Created by the Jim Henson Company, the show boasts 2d animation and original puppets to help children learn about mindfulness and awareness as they work in groups.

November 11 – Circuit Breakers

A group of kids tackles everyday issues through sci-fi technology. The series will help children understand common problems they face through a fun spoofy adventure in each episode.

November 18 – Interrupting Chicken

Preschoolers learn the joys of creative writing with an animated series based on Caldecott-winning books. Piper is a little chick who interrupts story time with questions and her own thoughts on what might happen. As her imagination runs wild, so do the stories. The series will feature Sterling K. Brown and is produced by the members of Teachers College Reading and Writing Project.
